Thank You Mom

Today, I hid a thank you card for my Mom in a hidden location, to show her how much I appreciate her and all she does for me. She eventually found it around 5:00 in the back of the pantry, and she was so surprised. I wrote that I could not have asked for a better mom, who does everything to make my life better, from being a chauffeur to a personal ATM.

I was extremely excited for her to find it, because I want her to know how much I appreciate her and all that she does. She was definitely shocked due to the fact that I am not the person for sentimental notes or doings, because thats just who I am, so it was really special for her to find that it was from me. It truly made her day and week knowing that I took the time to write how much I appreciate her.

Giving Back

Today I surprised my teacher with a handmade card, that I had been working on for a while, to show my appreciation for what they have done throughout the year. I surprised my Spanish teacher, Mr. Myers, who has helped me excel in my Spanish speaking abilities throughout the year. My class also thought it was a great idea to buy him a special present that he has always wanted, and we gave it to him today.

Today, I have been the most happiest person in the world , because I was able to show my appreciation to one of my favorite teachers, who has taught me more than I thought I could know. I could also tell that he was the most happiest person in the world, when he realized what was in the box. He was just speechless, he did not know what to say, but was so great full and appreciative of the gift. This made both of us feel amazing throughout the day.

Trash Days

For the past 2 days, I have been picking up my lunch tables trash. This has taught me a lot about picking up trash and helping the environment be a safer place. I plan to continue picking up the trash from my table along with a table of freshman, who chose to leave their trash in a big pile, for the remainder of this week (May 15-19)!

This process has made me a happier person because it teaches me that I can make a difference in the community, by just picking up the trash. I also enjoy smiling at the janitors every now and then, because it shows them that I care about them as a person, rather than the people that clean the tables. I can also tell that my friends are happy, due to the fact that they don’t have to walk the extra 10 seconds to throw their trash in the trash can. I have made a happier place for all, for the small price of picking up trash!

 

Chipotle Tip

Today I went to Chipotle to get my mom and myself dinner, because it was mothers day and I wanted her to relax and enjoy her day. I went to Chipotle ordered, and felt like giving a nice tip. I proceeded to pay, and gave a $10 tip to the cashier for being friendly and smiling.

I was very excited to give someone a nice tip to make their day more special, and surprise them with a gift. This made me so much happier, because I could tell that she really needed and enjoyed the $10 to put towards something useful in her life. She was overjoyed when I handed her the money, I thought she was almost about to start crying. This made my day and her day, with a small fee. There is nothing in life that is free, but for a small fee to give 2 people a good day is great!!
